South Korean beauty company APR said Tuesday that its flagship brand Medicube had attracted about 15,000 visitors during a pop-up tour across four major cities in the US and Europe, as it steps up efforts to expand its global retail presence.
The Medicube Wellness Club X2 tour kicked off in New York in September, followed by stops in Los Angeles, London and Paris through October, marking the brand's first pop-up campaign spanning both continents.
The events showcased Medicube's new Booster Pro X2 beauty device alongside its skincare products, drawing an average of more than 1,000 visitors per day at each location.
The London and Paris events marked Medicube's first standalone pop-ups in Europe since entering the market. According to APR, advance reservations filled up quickly, with long lines forming at both venues.
Visitors were offered personalized recommendations for the Booster Pro X2's treatment modes based on their skin concerns and could test the device with Medicube skincare products. The pop-ups also featured wellness smoothies inspired by the device's LED colors.
The tour was in New York from Sept. 10-12, Los Angeles from Sept. 25-27, London from Oct. 9-11 and Paris on Oct. 23-24 and Oct. 26.
Building on the campaign, APR plans to expand Medicube's offline retail presence in North America and Europe. The company is scheduled to hold another pop-up in Madrid this month in partnership with Spanish drugstore chain Primor, while pursuing additional retail partnerships in overseas markets.
"Through these pop-ups, we were able to gauge local consumer interest and introduce Medicube's brand identity," an APR official said. "We will continue to engage with consumers in overseas markets and strengthen the brand's global presence."
