Korean auto giant Hyundai Motor is considering building a local driving center to offer customers opportunities to experience its vehicles, the company said on Oct. 5.

At the Paris Motor Show, Vice President Thomas Schemera in charge of Hyundai’s performance-oriented cars unit said the company has a plan to allow customers to experience Hyundai’s high-performance cars at a local driving center and to reflect their feedback in developing vehicles.

The company is giving serious consideration to the idea and possible names of the center include Hyundai Driving School, Hyundai Driving Speed Track or Hyundai Racing Academy, he said.

The driving center is aimed at boosting domestic sales as it will offer differentiated services to customers, he said.

Hyundai confirmed what Schemera said at the biennial auto show, although stressing that no firm decision has been made at present.
