[THE INVESTOR] In what seems to be a repeat of the “nut rage” fiasco of her sister, Hanjin Group Chairman Cho Yang-ho’s younger daughter recently threw a temper tantrum in office, according to industry sources on April 12.

Earlier this month, Cho Hyun-min, currently a Korean Air marketing executive, reportedly threw water on the face of an ad agency employee for failing to answer her questions properly.

While some sources say she first threw a bottled glass of water and then splashed water on the employee’s face, other say she threw a cup of water on the floor, not at the employee.

“The story seems to have been exaggerated,” said a source. He added that Hyun-min apologized to the staff.

It may be recalled that her elder sister had to step down from her executive position at Korean Air in 2014 after she threw a fit and delayed a scheduled international flight from New York to Seoul because she was upset with a cabin crew member who served a bag of macadamia nuts without opening them.

The ad agency concerned has so far declined to make any comments to the press. It did, however, confirm that it is working with Korean Air.

Meanwhile, Korean Air -- run by Hanjin Group -- is claiming that the agency had not fulfilled any of its demands, and that Hyun-min was angered by their lack of professionalism.

Legal precedents show that splashing water on someone’s face can be a felony. In 2015, a woman was fined for such an act while arguing with her realtor.
