Samsung, LG showcase premium built-in home appliances in US
[THE INVESTOR] Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics said on Jan. 10 they have showcased their premium built-in home appliances at a US trade fair as they push to expand their foothold in the top-end market.
Samsung displayed a high-end refrigerator, Double Wall Oven and Induction Cooktop with virtual flame and other products in their premium kitchen appliances lineup, at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show under way in Orlando.
Its luxury appliances brand Dacor also displayed a new line-up of premium kitchen products, called The Modernist Collection.
In 2016, Samsung acquired Dacor to expand its share of the US high-end home appliances market. After the acquisition, Samsung kept Dacor’s brand name.
Meanwhile, LG displayed its premium built-in home appliances that are equipped with wireless internet connection.
LG said consumers can control built-in home appliances through their smartphones or its artificial intelligence speaker ThinQ Hub.
