Korea Ginseng Corp., the country’s leading ginseng manufacturer, announced Monday that it received the Varro E. Tyler Award at the 2025 Natural Products Expo West, held last week in Anaheim, US, for its phytomedicinal research on ginseng.

According to the company, the award, presented by the American Botanical Council in recognition of outstanding contributions to the field of herbal medicine and pharmacognosy, honors its commitment to proving the health benefits of ginseng through clinical research.

The ABC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing reliable information on herbs and medicinal plants to consumers, healthcare practitioners and researchers.

“We are deeply honored that our decades of research and development have been recognized by such a respected institution,” a company researcher said upon receiving the award, vowing to further advance and globalize Korean health supplements.

KGC has consistently advanced research and development in red ginseng and other health ingredients, earning key recognitions. Notably, it received certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for verifying red ginseng’s benefits in regulating blood sugar levels and supporting prostate health.

To further efficacy research and develop products tailored for global consumers, KGC established a research and development center in Shanghai, China, in 2013, followed by another in Los Angeles, US, in March 2023. These centers continue to explore the benefits of red ginseng and other health ingredients.
