Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy S25 series became the fastest selling Galaxy models, surpassing 1 million units in domestic sales within just 21 days of launch, the smartphone maker said Friday.

Launched on Feb. 7, the Galaxy S25 series achieved the record 7 days faster than its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 series, and four days earlier than the previous record-holder, the Galaxy Note 10 in 2019.

A Samsung survey found that the Galaxy S25’s performance, including the latest processor and memory, was the key deciding factor for buyers, the company said.

“The Galaxy S25 series has received a positive response from consumers thanks to its best-ever performance, refined design and consistent pricing across all models,” Samsung Electronics Vice President Jung Ho-jin, who is in charge of domestic sales, said.

“We will continue to expand sales through various customer benefit programs.”

Among the lineup, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the more advanced model with titanium frame and a 200 megapixel camera, accounted for nearly 50 percent of total sales.

By color preference, Titanium Silver Blue and Titanium White Silver were the most popular S25 Ultra models, while the Ice Blue and Silver Shadow models were top choices for the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25.

Samsung also attributed the fast sales to the New Galaxy AI Subscription Club. The subscription plan offers a 50 percent residual value return when returning the device after a year, along with Samsung Care+ Smartphone damage protection service.

According to the smartphone maker, 1 out of 5 customers who preordered the series opted for the subscription plan, and about 60 percent of the subscribers are in their 20s and 30s.
