LG Energy Solution received two awards at the 2025 InterBattery Awards for its new 46-series cylindrical battery cells and battery management services.

The awards ceremony took place on Monday, ahead of InterBattery 2025, the nation’s largest annual battery industry gathering, set to begin on March 5.

According to the company, LG's 46-series electric vehicle battery cells, which have a 46-millimeter diameter, offer more than five times the energy capacity of the 21-mm diameter EV battery cells currently in use.

A safety-focused battery module solution, known as the Cell Array Solution, is used to position the 46-series cells within the battery pack. This system incorporates LG’s proprietary heat spread prevention technology, enhancing overall battery pack safety.

LG Energy Solution also won an award for B-Lifecare, its battery management service. The B-Lifecare platform provides real-time EV battery condition monitoring, offers battery maintenance solutions and analyzes each driver’s charging and driving habits to optimize battery performance.
