South Korea design software developer Zyx Technology announced Friday that it has donated Zyx CAD licenses valued at 1 billion won ($698,680) to Chungbuk National University.

Under the three-year agreement, Zyx Technology will provide educational licenses to students and faculty, with access to the software enabled on campus and at home, to foster future software talent and strengthen digital innovation in academia.

ZyxCAD is computer-aided design software available through the Korean Public Procurement Service. Compatible with AutoCAD, it features identical file extensions, commands, shortcuts and LISP functionality, delivering fast and stable performance through multi-CPU utilization.

Chungbuk National University President Koh Chang-seop expressed his gratitude, stating, “This partnership is an important milestone for enhancing our university’s capabilities in design technology.”

“We are grateful to Zyx Technology for their support, which will enable our students and faculty to advance their practical skills and engage in creative design projects. We look forward to future collaborations,” Koh added.

“We are delighted to contribute to the development of young talents at Chungbuk National University,” Zyx Technology co-CEO Eom Shin-jo said. “Zyx CAD is more than just software -- it is an essential tool for cultivating creative and innovative designers. We will continue to support educational and technological advancements.”
