South Korean gaming giant NCSoft said Monday that it has achieved the highest environmental, social and governance rating among domestic game developers for a fourth consecutive year.

NCSoft is the nation’s only game developer to secure a double-A rating in the Morgan Stanley Capital International 2024 ESG assessment. After receiving an A grade in 2021, the company has maintained its double-A status since 2022.

MSCI evaluates listed companies worldwide and grades their ESG systems on a seven-tier scale. NCSoft earned high scores for its efforts to protect personal information, disclose environmental data and establish efficient grievance procedures.

The company has also been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices Asia-Pacific Index for two consecutive years. This recognition underscores NCSoft’s commitment to sustainable management, the company said.

The DJSI is a globally recognized sustainability index published by S&P Global, a leading provider of financial information and analytics. The index is awarded to the top 20 percent among the top 600 companies by market capitalization in the region.

“We are proud to see our ongoing efforts toward sustainable management recognized,” said Kim Hyun-joo, senior manager of NCSoft’s ESG management division. “We will continue to identify and implement ESG initiatives that strengthen our competitiveness in the industry.”
