From Seoul to Atlanta, Hyundai Capital supports working parents with various programs

Hyundai Capital, the auto financing unit of South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor Group, has provided family support programs for working parents to better balance home and work.
Launched in 2015, the firm’s in-house daycare center has provided high-quality education to the children of employees during working hours, the company said. It also expanded a childcare program in the second half of last year by hiring specialists to help manage the childrens‘ emotional stability, it added.
“Parenting is not just a personal concern, it is something that a company has to take part in. We have launched various childcare programs based on our corporate values, which center on creating a better life environment for our staff,” a Hyundai Capital official said.
These family support programs have expanded to the company‘s overseas branches as well. Hyundai Capital America holds an annual summer camp for children aged 7 to 17 at its branch offices in Atlanta, Dallas and Irvine, California.
The program is designed to better connect children with their parents by having then spend the day at their parents’ office as well as participate in charity work to learn about the firm’s social responsibility projects for local communities.
In Brazil, the company held “Kids to Workday” at Banco Hyundai Capital Brasil in October last year to celebrate the annual children‘s day.
“As a working mother, I was worried about how to have meaningful time with my children. The company has given a wonderful opportunity for my family to get to know about my job and working life here,” Patricia Correa, the program participant said.
Besides diverse children programs, Hyundai Capital Canada provides one-year leasing of the group’s vehicles at a discounted price for its workers, considering the lack of transportation facilities in the country. It has also given employees opportunities to try out new vehicles for a certain period for free as a part of their welfare program.
