Maker of headgear with bone conduction tech wins pitching competition
Seojin FNI, a Seoul-based startup that makes headgears with bone conduction technology won a top prize in the hardware startup pitching competition during Start-Up Seoul: Tech Rise 2019 on Sept. 6.
The startup snapped up 5 million won ($4,200), at the pitching event dubbed “Cracking Hard Things.”

Seojin FNI showcased ZEROi, an oil-coated baseball cap-like headgear featuring four bone conduction speakers that send sound directly into a user’s eardrum, along with Bluetooth, built-in microphone and light-emitting diodes, among others.
Seojin FNI was one of the six competitors at the event.
Others included: Lifetem, maker of portable medicine cooler tumbler for children Meditum; LeePlay, maker of a synchronized multicamera solution that analyzes high-speed motion for sports players; Si-jung, which manufactures visibility meters for government agencies; MK, maker of concentrated windshield washer fluid; and Pledo, which makes toy robots for kids’ financial literacy.
It was part of the 3-day tech event co-hosted by Seoul Metropolitan Government that runs until Sept. 6.
