South Korean e-commerce platform builder cafe24 announced on July 16 that it has started providing Vietnamese language service to its online shopping platform operators.

“The Vietnamese e-commerce market is growing fast. Also due to Hallyu, more Vietnamese customers are demanding Korean products,” cafe24 CEO Lee Jae-suk said in a statement.

According to research from the Korea International Trade Association, over 90 percent of Vietnamese customers have experience buying more than one Korean product within a year. Among them, around 89 percent said they were satisfied with the products.

Furthermore, according to a report by Google and Temasek, the Vietnamese e-commerce market has high potential. Currently, the market is growing dramatically and is expected to be worth around 15 billion won ($12.72 million) by 2025.

The platform builder hopes that by providing this service, many of its online retailers, which sell K-fashion, K-beauty and K-style products, can expand their presence not only in Vietnam but also in other parts of Southeast Asia. “We will continuously provide advanced services and solutions for our clients to expand their presence further overseas,” said Lee.

Besides Vietnamese, the e-commerce platform builder provides its service in eight different languages, including English, Japanese and Chinese.
