Kia Motors on May 8 launched the upgraded Stinger sports car with more safety features to boost sales in the domestic market.

The 2020 Stinger comes with a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine, a 3.3-liter gasoline turbo engine or a 2.2-liter diesel engine. The upgraded model is mated with Michelin tires and an air cleaning system, Kia said in a statement.

Safety features include front collision avoidance, highway driving assist and lane keeping assist systems, it said.

The sports car is priced at between 35 million won ($30,000) and 49 million won, with the prices going up depending on options, the statement said.

Kia first launched the Stinger in the local market in May 2017.

It is available in global markets, including the United States and Europe.
