Hana Financial kicks off in-house venture projects
[THE INVESTOR] Hana Financial Group announced on Jan. 21 that it has kicked off two projects on its in-house venture platform.
Korea’s third-largest financial group in terms of net profit has been gearing up to foster ventures after launching Connect & Development Factory, an in-house venture platform by its affiliate Hana Financial TI, in August. It was launched as part of the group’s efforts to discover new business opportunities and foster a culture of open innovation.

Last week, C&D Factory selected two finalists for the program to be given support over the next 12 months.
The two projects are C Dots, a micro image processing module and data transfer platform, and a blockchain-based donation platform CC Donation.
“We will support employees with innovative ideas to develop their entrepreneurial spirit and help them transform their ideas into a business,” said Hana TI CEO Yoo Si-Wan. “In the future, we will expand the program group-wide.”
