[THE INVESTOR] Han Sung Motor, the largest official Mercedes-Benz dealership in Korea, celebrated the seventh anniversary of its Dream Gream program on Dec. 18.

During its year-end event at the Mercedes-Benz Cheongdam showroom, 13 students who graduated from the program after receiving support and mentorship for six years received their certificates.

The program was launched to cultivate underprivileged young talent in 2012. Starting with 20 scholarship students and 20 mentors, Han Sung now provides support for 40 students with 40 mentors and ambassadors each year.

The scholarship recipients participated in various art projects through the year, such as Seoul Street Art Festival and Korea International Art Fair, as well as workshops by prominent artists from various fields.

“Through this program, I was able to meet many artists who love what they do and now I am motivated to become a visual designer,” said Kim Eun-do, one of the graduating participants.

“When we first launched the program seven years ago, we didn’t know how long it could be extended,” said Kim Sung-ho, a company executive who got the best ambassador award. “We might not be able to change the future of Han Sung or myself, but I realized we could change the future of young teenagers through this program.”
