Global PR Summit kicks off on Nov. 23 in Seoul

[THE INVESTOR] Global PR Summit, an event on public relations and corporate communications, will take place on Nov. 23 at the Grand Hyatt in Seoul, marking the first ever Asian edition.

The interactive summit will include presentations on the latest trends in PR and corporate communications, with focus on reputation management, crisis communications, influence marketing and social media.

 

Mary Jo Jacobi, former VP of BP America



Mary Jo Jacobi, who was vice president of British Petroleum during the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico will open the event with a keynote speech on crafting the right apology after a major crisis.

The event will also feature presentations by Patrick Jephson, former private secretary to Princess Diana; Colleen Harris, former press secretary to Princes Charles, William and Harry; Heather Mitchell, global head of PR and social media at Unilever Hair Care; Richard Stephenson, communications director of UK Civil Aviation Authority; and Katie Morse, VP digital at Nielsen in the US.

The first edition of the Global PR Summit was held in Serbia in March 2011 and since then it is annually held in 24 countries around the world, including Turkey, Bulgaria, Iceland, Norway, Azerbaijan, Morocco, the US and Canada.
