[THE INVESTOR] Talent market platform startup Aroundus on October 1 said it is launching a new web variety show in partnership with T.cast, Taekwang Group’s media subsidiary, and production firm BucketON. 

Actor Kwon Hyuk-soo will host the new eponymous program called “Kwon Hyuk-soo’s #WhoAreYou,” which will center on discovering new talents among lesser known and wannabe stars. 

“The online profile of participants will be connected with the variety show, giving the entertainment industry personnel access for further contact in the future,” said founder and CEO Kim Sung-jin. “It is an unprecedented format globally.”

Those who want to enter the program can submit their application on the website. Following the submission, the vetting committee, consisting of the program producer, writer and partnering firms, will review the profile to choose final candidates to star on the show. 

The 60-episode series will premiere on Oct. 8 via T.cast’s YouTube channel from Monday to Friday at 7 p.m. through December.
