Renault to sell Master truck in Korea
[THE INVESTOR] French automaker Renault plans to sell its popular Master truck in Korea beginning next month, its local unit said on Sept. 11.
Renault Samsung Motors said the 1.3-ton face-lifted Master could offer an alternative to Korean customers in a market held by Hyundai Motor and its affiliate Kia Motors.
The Korea unit did not provide details on how many Master trucks it will import from Renault.
Master has been the best-selling truck in the European commercial vehicle segment since 1998. The truck is equipped with a 2.3-liter twin-turbo diesel engine good for 145 ponies and 34.7 kilogram-force meters of torque.
