[THE INVESTOR] Samsung Electronics said on Aug. 14 it has started preorders for the Galaxy Tab S4 tablet PC in South Korea ahead of the official release slated for later this month.

The Galaxy Tab S4, available in Wi-Fi and LTE versions, will come with two different storage capacities: 64 gigabytes and 256 gigabytes.

The 64 GB Wi-Fi model is available for 792,000 won (US$696) and the 256 GB one for 891,000 won. The LTE editions are roughly 100,000 won higher.

The Galaxy Tab S4 comes with 6 GB of RAM and a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED. With a whopping 7,300mAh battery, Samsung said such features make the tablet PC especially suitable for users in favor of gaming content.

Other notable features include a four-speaker sound system, which utilizes the technology of AKG, a brand of Harman International Industries, a Samsung affiliate.

The product is equipped with 13-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras.

The company added the tablet can also connect to larger monitors through the Samsung DeX system.

The official launch is scheduled for Aug. 29 in Korea.
