[THE INVESTOR] LG Electronics came first in four out of 11 segments for kitchen and laundry appliances in the US market, industry tracker J.D. Power said in its report on July 26.

According to J.D. Power, LG had the most consumer satisfaction in side-by-side refrigerators, top-mount freezer refrigerators, freestanding ranges and top-load washers. The Korean tech giant topped more categories than any other company, followed by Bosch.

LG’s bigger Korean rival Samsung Electronics was No. 1 in the front-load washer segment.

“We have received the highest consumer satisfaction for our most popular products,” LG Electronics’ US operation said. “We have overwhelmed our rivals in terms of credibility, performance, convenience and features.”

The company said it is also significant that its products were recognized in the world’s top market for premium home appliances.
