[THE INVESTOR] Korean online gaming giant Nexon Korea said on June 25 that it will introduce flexible working hours next month, in line with steps taken by other major gaming firms to provide more leisure time for its employees.

In principle, all employees will be able to set their daily work schedules, excluding hours after 10 p.m., starting July 1, the company said.

The flexible working system allows employees to choose their work hours on a daily and weekly basis so that they can handle their personal affairs, such as childcare and leisure activities, more efficiently.

Other major game firms have also recently adopted the system, including rivals NCsoft and Netmarble Games.

Earlier this year, NCsoft launched a pilot program that allows its workers to make their own 40-hour workweek schedules. Netmarble adopted a similar system in May.
