[THE INVESTOR] Police raided the headquarters of Korean Air on April 19 as part of a probe into allegations that its senior executive Cho Hyun-min assaulted an advertising company official at a business meeting.

Six officials from the Seoul Gangseo Police Station searched the main office of Korea’s flagship airline to secure evidence. The authorities also impounded the two smartphones used by Cho and two others belonging to other Korean Air executives who were at the meeting.

Cho Hyun-min, the younger daughter of Hanjin Group Chairman Cho Yang-ho, is accused of yelling at the ad firm manager and throwing water at his face. She has been booked and banned from overseas travel. So far, the former executive maintains that she pushed the employee and did not throw water.

Some witnesses have told police that she threw a paper cup full of juice at the manager. Others say she pushed the cup, and there were also people who said she threw a glass cup, in which case the assault charge becomes more serious.

The police are planning to arrange a date for questioning as soon as they finish analyzing the evidence. Authorities also raided the ad company and questioned the firm’s officials this week.
