[THE INVESTOR] Korean Air executive Cho Hyun-min has apologized again and promised to take all legal responsibility for her actions.

“I was too wrapped up in my work and went overboard,” said Cho in an emailed statement to her Korean Air colleagues on April 16. “I want to convey my sincere apologies to each and every one of you.

She also said that she would take full legal responsibilities, adding that everything was “entirely” her fault.

Immediately after Cho’s apology was released, three of the Korean Air labor unions called for Cho to step down from management and issue an apology to the public at large.

Cho, the younger sister of “nut rage” Korean Air heiress Cho Hyun-ah, made headlines on April 12 when she pushed an employee of an ad agency commissioned by the airliner for failing to have an answer to her question.

Days later, a clip emerged allegedly featuring Cho ranting at a colleague. The anonymous person who released it said in a later letter to Korean Air employees that such outbursts were the “norm” at the company.

Cho, who had gone on leave immediately after the ad agency reports on April 12 returned to Korea on April 15.

The police are currently reviewing the situation to see if it warrants a full-fledged investigation. Until the authorities reach a decision, Korean Air has decided to suspend all of Cho Hyun-min's duties.

“We will take appropriate measures when the police reach a decision,” said the airliner in a statement on April 16.

Korean Air is the largest carrier in Korea. It is a part of Hanjin Group, run by chairman Cho Yang-ho.
