CJ’s vinegar drink hits W23b in global sales
[THE INVESTOR] Korean food giant CJ CheilJedang on March 21 said global sales of its vinegar-based drink Petitzel Micho soared more than 30 percent over the past three years to reach 23 billion won (US$24.63 million) last year.
Japan made up the largest 82 percent of global sales. Thanks to Petitzel’s popularity, CJ’s market share exceeded 20 percent in Japan’s 80 billion won vinegar-based beverage market.
The company predicted another 20 percent growth in global sales this year, saying it plans to add peach flavor later this month.
