[THE INVESTOR] SsangYong Engineering & Construction said on March 15 its consortium has clinched a US$740 million order to build a smart hospital in Singapore.

The Woodlands Health Campus will be made up of an acute care hospital, a community hospital, specialist outpatient clinics and a nursing home, marking the first time that all such facilities will be conceptualized and built simultaneously, according to SsangYong E&C.

The health campus is seeking to ensure that future patients can enjoy seamless accessibility across the various services offered, the builder said.

The 1,800-bed integrated facility is set to be completed progressively from 2022.

The consortium is composed of SsangYong E&C, Daewoo Engineering & Construction and Singapore’s Koh Brothers Building & Civil Engineering Contractor.
