Hyundai showcases new ix35 SUV for Chinese market
[THE INVESTOR] Hyundai Motor showcased a new edition of the ix35 sport utility vehicle for the Chinese market on Nov. 15.
In cooperation with Baidu, the carmaker said the new ix35 SUV comes with improved smart features, including an artificial intelligence-based voice recognition system.
Hyundai has sold 770,000 units of the ix35 SUV in China since its first launch in 2010.
The Korean carmaker said the new model targets male drivers in their 30s with its reasonable price and outstanding performance.
The company said it hopes to add vitality to its Chinese business with the new SUV. The carmaker earlier faced hurdles in China due to the diplomatic row between Seoul and Beijing.
