LG CNS’ exports of e-gov’t solutions hit US$250m
[THE INVESTOR] LG CNS, an IT affiliate of LG Group, said on Nov. 14 it has been making significant inroads into overseas markets for e-government solutions, with total exports since 2006 reaching a whopping US$250 million.
The company, which shipped its first system to the Indonesian National Police Agency in 2006, said it has been gradually expanding the scope of its business to cover 20 countries, including Saudi Arabia and Colombia.
LG CNS added it recently won projects to build a maritime safety system in Bangladesh and a public health care system in Bahrain.
The company has been building e-government systems for various governmental bodies in South Korea, as well.
According to the data compiled by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, LG CNS has carried out e-government projects worth 480 billion won (US$428 million) since 1993.
