[THE INVESTOR] Restaurant booking app TableManager has attracted 300 million won (US$266,000) funding from local venture capital firms, including Naver and Kakao affiliates, the Seoul Business Agency said on Aug. 31.

The three investors include Naver’s Spring Camp, Kakao’s K Cube Ventures and S Cubic Angels. Their individual investments were not revealed.

The booking app uses the caller ID to connect the store phone to the customer management system. Reservation dates and table numbers are stored in real time. More importantly, the app provides a solution that makes it easy to identify “no show” customers.

More than 100 restaurants have adopted the app in eight months of its launch. The number of cumulative bookings has exceeded 250,000.
