PGMAN Games to launch VR-based AV content
[THE INVESTOR] PGMAN Games, a Korean game developer, has recently launched a franchise business that offers adult videos with virtual reality technology.
The first branch opened in Gwangju on June 4 and provides booths for a single person where one can watch VR-enhanced videos by paying 6,000 won (US$5.25) for 30 minutes. The video clips include Japanese and Korean actors, with more than 20 regular movies.
The game and IT company will open more outlets in major cities and upgrade the resolution from the current 2.5K to 4K by the end of this year. Videos, not games, will be the trailblazer for the VR industry, and adult VR rooms will replace DVD rooms, said its CEO Kim Young-ho.
