[THE INVESTOR] LG Electronics said on May 11 it has released the G6 in major countries in Latin America.

The tech giant said it has started selling its flagship smartphone by joining forces with 31 mobile carriers in the region, including Brazil’s Vivo, TIM and Claro.

Latin America is one of the fastest growing markets for smartphones. LG said it plans to start production of the G6 smartphone in Brazil for local sales starting in the second half of 2017.

LG Electronics also plans to release the G6 in major Asian countries, including India and Singapore, by the end of this month.
