Signal Entertainment signs MOU with Bunim-Murray
[THE INVESTOR] Signal Entertainment Group, a South Korean television production company, said on March 31 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the US production company Bunim-Murray Productions.
The companies will work together to create new TV programs and formats, the South Korean company said. Banijay Group, a Bunim-Murray affiliate, will handle worldwide distribution of joint-developed content outside of South Korea and China.
Founded in 1991, Signal Entertainment has produced more than 60 shows, including the music variety show “I Can See Your Voice,” and has lately ventured into the drama genre, having produced the hit thriller “Defendant.”
Bunim-Murray was formed in 1987 and has created a number of hit reality TV shows, including MTV’s “Real World” and “Project Runway,” a fashion-oriented show, which also saw a Korean remake.
