BIOGRAPHY

Chung was born in 1962 as the eldest daughter of Chung Mong-koo, chairman and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company.
After almost decades of staying at home, Chung joined the family business in 2003 as an executive at Haevich Hotel & Resort. Upon the establishment of Innocean Worldwide, an advertisement and marketing firm by Hyundai Motor Company, she took charge of the firm as an adviser and oversaw its growth into the second largest ad agency. She has stepped down from direct management since hiring a CEO in 2009.
She is married to Sun Doo-hoon, the chairman of Sun Medical Center, which he inherited from his father. They have one son and a daughter, and their son Dong-wook married a granddaughter of Aekyung Group chairwoman Chang Young-shin in 2016.
