BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1978, Hur Hee-soo is the second son of Hur Young-in, chairman of SPC Group, one of South Korea’s biggest confectionery and bakery company.
He joined the company in 2007.
Launched in 2004, SPC Group consists of three affiliates: Samlip, Paris Croissant and BR Korea.
Hur’s grandfather, the late Hur Chang-sung, set up a small confectionery outfit named Sangmidang, in hopes of turning it into a major corporation one day. Later on in 1959, the business started to take off and Sangmidang changed its name to Samlip.
Hur Hee-soo got married to Ahn Lee-nah, the daughter of Ahn Yong-chan, vice chairman of Aekyung Group and Jeju Air and Aekyung Industrial vice president Chae Eun-jeong.
